Clif ‘cross is back! After four years we’ve decided to add a few new bits and tweak things around a bit. We’ll still have everything you could want for a grand day out on your ‘cross bike (or MTB, we don’t mind) with a fabulous tour, taking in bridleways and smaller roads in and around the South Pennine town of Hebden Bridge.

Just remember, it’s not a race (you might call it “Ultra ‘Cross”), but it is a proper test of endurance and a great experience riding through a wonderful landscape on some of the best trails in the country. Along the way we will

have some spot prizes for daft shenanigans and comedy moments.

NEW for 2016 –

We’ve added electronic timing.

We’ve decided to spice it up a bit with a timed climb….we’ll tell you where later…maybe…it’ll be a nice surprise!

What we can tell you is that Joolze Dymond will be capturing you with her keen eye and your image is included in your entry.

As it’s Easter Sunday we may even see if the EASTER BUNNY is free!enter

Event Entry is handled by British Cycling’s tried and tested online system – enter online for £25, or enter on the day for £30

We don’t mind what you ride – CX or MTB – and there’s only a small section of carrying: well, it wouldn’t be ‘cross if it didn’t have a bit of everything would it?

How far is it? or HOW FAR?! The original route is 27 miles (44km in new money) and we’ve added and extended route of 43 miles (70km in new money). That might not sound far but with 4600′ of climbing in the original route it’s no easy pedal!

You’ll not go hungry as we’re kindly sponsored by Clifbar again with their super tasty bars, Shotbloks and gels, plus a feed station with hot drinks and a mix of snacks, then there’s The Porkery with their hog roast waiting at the finish and Coffee Run with the brews.

When: Clif ‘cross takes place on Sunday 27th March 2016, with the first riders getting underway at 9.30am.

Where: The event HQ is Mytholmroyd Community Leisure Centre, Caldene Avenue, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, HX7 5AF – just half a mile East of Hebden Bridge off the A646 (PLEASE NOTE DUE TO RECENT FLOODING WE WILL HAVE TO CHECK THE STATE OF THE COMMUNITY CENTRE CLOSE TO THE DATE TO SEE IF THE PARKING IS IN USE).

See you there!
